Built around a few non-negotiables.

I am Hendrie Spijker, an independent maker focused on small, thoughtful software. These principles guide every project — from the first sketch to the App Store listing.

Core principles

Privacy by default

If an app can work without collecting data, it should. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking by default. Personal information stays on the device or in the user's own cloud.

Small and finished

One clear job, done properly. No feature bloat, no subscription treadmill, and nothing half-built left behind. A small app that ships is better than a big one that never does.

Made with care

Details matter: the copy, the animation, the empty state, the first tap. Every part should feel considered, especially for products used by children and families.

Dino Hatch HQ

The clearest expression of these principles so far is Dino Hatch HQ — a privacy-first kids' timer and wake-up alarm where every countdown ends with a dinosaur hatching. No accounts, no analytics, no ads; just a small, self-contained app built to be handed to a child.
